Unlike shaving or creams, waxing removes hair from the root, giving you smooth skin for 2–4 weeks. Unlike laser hair removal, waxing doesn’t require a series of sessions and is effective on all hair types and skin tones. It also allows for precise shaping, especially for brows.
Yes, when performed by a skilled professional using high-quality wax, it is safe even for sensitive skin. However, it’s important to inform your specialist about any allergies, active breakouts, or the use of retinoids. If in doubt, a patch test is recommended beforehand.
The level of discomfort varies depending on your individual pain threshold and the area being treated. For example, waxing the nose or upper lip may feel more sensitive. Typically, the discomfort is brief and tends to lessen with repeated treatments as the hair becomes finer.
The procedure begins with cleansing the skin to remove any oils or makeup. Then, a warm wax is applied to the desired area in the direction of hair growth.
