PERMANENT MAKEUP (BROWS & LIPS)

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding – hormonal changes may affect healing and pigment retention; safety for the baby is not guaranteed.

• Active oncology – immune suppression and risk of complications.

• Decompensated chronic diseases – the body is not stable enough for trauma or healing.

• Epilepsy – risk of seizures triggered by stress or pain.

• Type 1 diabetes with complications – impaired healing, higher infection risk.

• Blood clotting disorders – bleeding may expel pigment and complicate healing.

• HIV / Hepatitis B or C – risk of infection transmission and poor healing.

• Allergies to lidocaine, pigments, anesthetics – risk of severe reactions.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Herpes (especially for lip PMU) – antiviral prophylaxis is required.

• Menstruation – increased sensitivity and discomfort.

• Recent chemical peels or laser treatments – wait at least 2 weeks.

• Botox or fillers in the area – wait minimum 4 weeks to avoid distortion.

• Active dermatitis or acne in the treatment area – may affect results.

• Psychological unpreparedness / unrealistic expectations – procedure not recommended.

LASH EXTENSION

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Allergy to adhesive (ethyl cyanoacrylate) – risk of swelling, redness, eye injury.

• Eye infections (conjunctivitis, styes, blepharitis, herpes) – contagious and sensitive area.

• Trichotillomania – self-hair-pulling may distort results.

• Post-operative eye surgery (< 6 months) – healing period not complete.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Eye sensitivity or heavy tearing – glue may not bond well.

• Recent permanent eyeliner (< 10 days) – increased sensitivity.

• Wearing contact lenses – must be removed during the procedure.

• Allergy-prone clients – patch test recommended.

LASH LIFT & TINT

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Allergy to product components – risk of swelling or rash.

• Eye infections – risk of spreading or worsening infection.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Pregnancy / lactation – hormonal shifts may affect lash curl longevity.

• Recent eye surgery – wait until fully healed.

• Fragile or damaged lashes – may cause breakage.

• Wearing contacts – should be removed before treatment.

BROW LAMINATION

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Allergy to lamination chemicals – risk of skin irritation.

• Dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis in brow area – sensitive and compromised skin.

• Extremely thin or reactive skin – prone to damage.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding – altered skin reactivity.

• Recent microblading/tattoo (< 4 weeks) – allow full healing.

• Recent chemical peels, retinol use – avoid for at least 7 days.

BROW TINT

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Allergy to dye or developer – risk of allergic reaction.

• Broken or inflamed skin in brow area – risk of worsening condition.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Recent laser, peel, or retinoid use – wait at least 1 week.

• Pregnancy – patch test required.

• Allergy-prone or pigmentation-prone skin – proceed with caution.

BROW SHAPING (TWEEZING & WAXING)

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Dermatitis or open wounds – risk of irritation or infection.

• Viral skin infections – avoid until resolved.

• Use of retinoids (topical/oral) – stop 7–14 days before waxing.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Highly sensitive skin – risk of redness or irritation.

• Sunburn – waxing can further damage affected skin.

• Low pain tolerance – discomfort may be higher.

FACIAL WAXING

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Severe acne (Grade 3–4) – waxing can aggravate skin.

• Herpes, eczema, psoriasis – risk of flare-ups.

• Retinoid use (Accutane, Tretinoin) – minimum 6-month break required.

• Wax allergies – skin test recommended.

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Visible capillaries or rosacea – skin may react with redness.

• Post-peel recovery period – wait 2–3 weeks.

• Sunburn or recent tan – wax may burn compromised skin.
